Access Bank, a leading financial institution in Nigeria, has launched a transformative initiative aimed at empowering, uplifting, and accelerating the next generation of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The Youthrive programme is designed to enhance the capacity of MSMEs, provide financial empowerment, and foster invaluable business exchange programmes.
The initiative is expected to have a significant impact on over 4 million individuals, including entrepreneurs, business owners, employees, and communities where MSMEs operate. By providing access to critical resources such as training, mentorship, networking opportunities, and financing, the programme will enable MSMEs to achieve sustainable growth and contribute to the economic development of Nigeria.
The programme’s financial empowerment component will provide MSMEs with access to affordable loans, grants, and other financial products and services tailored to their needs. Additionally, the business exchange programme will facilitate partnerships and collaborations between MSMEs, creating opportunities for them to learn from each other’s experiences, scale their operations, and access new markets.
Graduates of the programme can access financial support mechanisms such as loans, grants, and the Business Exchange programme to the Netherlands, China, or India.
The Youthrive programme goes beyond these 4 pillars by offering invaluable support from industry experts and enriching participants.
1. Startup: A new business with less than 12 months in operation.
2. Business Owner: An established business with more than 1 year in operation.
3. Graduate: A tertiary institution degree holder seeking active employment or business venture.
4. Non-Graduate: A young individual with a minimum of a school leaving certificate seeking skill acquisition or business venture
To apply, eligible candidates can start their application on the Youthrive Programme portal.
